Hello,
Last time I saw Ben he was playing "knock-knock" on his daddy's head. I
took my students to St. Jude the following week-but we missed seeing
you. I think of Ben often, and will keep all of you in my prayers.

praying diligently today for Ben's counts. I hope that they are rising
and that he is able to continue his treatments. He is such a warrior and
I know that God is using him in a mighty way. Praise God that He uses us
even in the midst of our trials and I am thankful that your lives are
living testimonies of HIS GRACE. May God's loving arms be tightly

Dear Tom
and Jennifer, I am a 19 year old college freshman from Worthington
Kentucky, when i heard about bens story i felt like i was on the
opposite end of the spectrum, coincidentally my name is Ben and i was
also diagnosed with brain cancer around the same age as your son,
although it was not the same type, it was similar. I was diagnosed with
a benign astrocytoma in the right cerebellum,removal surgery was a
success but my family was told that i would probably never walk again
and i would never be the same. I have beat all the odds that were put
against me, i graduated high school in 2003 and i am now going into my
sophomore year in college studying to be a psychiatrist. My point is,
even under seemingly insurmountable odds you can perservere and
ultimatly beat this, together, as a family and before you know it, your
son will be grown and going to school studying to be a doctor or
scientist or anything he wants to be. Bens story was a huge inspiration
to me, even in the store where i saw the fly

thoughts are prayers are with you. I have sat and cried while reading
Ben's story. I have a six year old and can not imagine even for a moment
what your family is dealing with. I do have a strong belief that God has
his reasons, although at the moment I can't think of one single thing.
My heart goes out to your family. I will be praying that God will heal
Ben, give him comfort through his treatment, and give each of you a
peace, knowing that he is watching over you. May God bless each of you
and watch over little Ben as he continues to fight.
