I found
your site through regularly checking little Taylor's site. My family is
also from Fairmont and we are the proud parents of a special little girl
named Hannah. She will be five next week but has endured more than my
husband or I could ever imagine. She was born with a rare digestive
disorder that would not allow her to digest or absord nutrients. After a
five year battle of being fed intravenously and almost destroying her
liver she went through a small bowel transplant in February. She is
doing well but my family understands the hardship of being away from
home, the stress of a critically ill child and all the "stuff" that goes
with it. We placed our faith in God many years ago and renewed that
faith with Hannah--she is His child and His plan often not easy to
follow but one we know is for His glory. Please know that we check on
Ben and the rest of your family daily and life up many prayers to the
One who knows us best.

Phil 3:10 says (brett's personal paraphrase) "You are getting to know
Christ more & more as you are understanding the power of His
resurrection and sharing in His sufferings". I wanted to encourage you
to hold on to the joy that is set before you as Christ did when He
endured the cross. (Heb.12:2) Keep on believing, you're not in this
alone. The prayers of the saints are with you and Father will never
leave you nor forsake you. We are wrapped in His arms of love. That is a

Dear Ben,
Mom & Dad, I am Taylor Watson's grandma, I'm sorry to hear that you are
going through the same situation as Taylor. My other computer crashed a
few month's ago and I just got a new one. My prayers that Taylor's pappy
& I say every night for Taylor will include you. Taylor's daddy (my son)
told us all about you and your mom & dad. Taylor's pappy will be able to
meet you next week as he is coming to Memphis with Johnny. I hope I will
be able to meet you in the near future. I'm recuperating from 2
surgeries I had in March and then in April and the doctor says I can't
come to see Taylor until I'm completely healed. All our love & prayers
to God for you & Taylor and all the other sick children at St. Jude's

Good
afternoon Bowens, I just wanted to say that I am so glad to hear that
Ben is doing so well. I have been checking in often and I like what you
said about the Ketchup and Ranch... that is a kid thing I think. Both of
ours eat that with any and everything. We have you in our prayers and
thoughts constantly. You sent your May activity Box out on Monday and
you should be recieving it if you haven't already. I hope the boys enjoy
the item in this box. From this group there are several kids, so we know
what they like to do. We miss you all and can not wait until Lil Ben

Tell your
mom I am a little envious she get to do the hugging. Tell her to give
Ben and Eli and extra one from me. I mailed the thank you note about the
kindness of Cpl. R.Woolley to the Memphis Police Department c/o
Inspector A. Taylor today. Granddad is doing fine and loves assisted
living and has charmed the staff. Will Ben's chemo rountine be like the
last admission? Tell my favorite nurse hello and tell her I'm sharing
the diaper/specimen collection idea at St. Mary's, my first demo worked
which made them belivers. You all are in my thoughts often. To work
tonight at 7pm. As other are in our prayers keep Mary and Carroll
Workman in yours, Mary may need a heart valve replacement and she is
Carroll's right hand person since his health has become more frail. Love

Tom, How are you guys doing in Memphis? I wanted to write just to let
you know that you are in our hearts and prayers all the time. How is
Ben? Eli? Jennifer? and yourself? I was reading in 2 Thessalonians 1:3-7

There is
no greater agony that when something is wrong with your child. My own
little boy is autistic. After many, many prayers he has really come a
long way! Prayer works! We will start praying for Ben too and know
without a doubt that the Lord hears and will answer us.
