family!I am sorry it has taken me so long to get on here and sign but I
am constantly thinking about you! I really enjoyed coming to Eli's b-day
party!I have fallen inlove with your children!They are both beautiful
little boys. Tonight in church I heard a song that kinda hit me and I

sitting here on my lap and is insisting that I invite Elijah to his
Birthday party (even though I have explained that you are far away). So,
Elijah, Collin wishes very much for you to come and play with him at his
birthday party. Collin loves the pictures that are on the site and wants
me to find Eli's birthday party pictures...however I don't know where
they are now that the layout of the site has somewhat changed. Collin
also wishes me to tell you that his preschool is collecting "pennies"
for Ben and Collin has eagerly volunteered his entire piggy bank (with
no prompting from yours truly). Collin says that the money is "for Baby
Ben to make him feel better". I hope that it does...children helping

Praise
the Lord that things are looking up! Thank you God for being faithful
and true to your Word. We praise you that you are holy and just. It is
by your awesome healing hand that Ben's swelling has gone down and his
counts have gone up. We give you all the glory for that. Thank you that
in these last few days, in the midst of "bad" news, that you provided
Tom and Jennifer with some much needed rest. Perhaps that was your true

family. All of us that work in the early intervention field have come in
contact with many families who have a "special story" to tell about
their children. We never dream that we may be faced with tragic
challenges with our own children. Ben's "story" and your family have
been an inspiration to me. I read Ben's updates daily and get such a
blessing from his progress and this website. Your faith inspires me to
be a better Christian. I will continue to pray that God will heal Ben

Jennifer, Eli & Ben, I am over here at Renee's using her computer so I
could get this off to you before I left town. I was reading in my
devotional and this touched me and I hope that it will do the same for
you. When the going gets tough what really matters is not what happens
to us, but what happens in us, because what happens in us will surely
come out. And when it does it reveals who we really are. Tough times
will make us bitter or better. I know several people who have gone
through bad times who felt closer to God at those very times. I know
others who have gone through similar trials and distanced themselves
from or become angry at God. What was the difference? ATTITUDE. Of all
the people in the Old Testament, Joseph had one of the best attitudes.
His brothers sold him, his boss' wife framed him and he was throne into
prison, yet through it all he kept an attitude that was pleasing to God.
He knew that God had a plan. He didn't know the whole plan, but as he
stayed faithful each day, God rewarded him for
