promises us that he is with us always. He also promises us a perfect
peace if we keep our minds steadfast on him. May his promises ring true
for you! The Lord asks us to "Fear not" and commands "Be still and know
that I am God". Do you know the song based on Isaiah 61- "He gives
beauty for ashes, strength for fear, gladness for mourning and peace for
despair..." I have been singing this a lot lately and thinking of you.

Dearest
Jennifer and Tom, I've been praying for you all day. Since my daughter
Alethea's diagnosis with AML, I have found that there is not much
certain in this world. What I do know is that God is Sovereign, God is
Good. God is Who He says He is. Diane is my mother-in-law and I believe
God. You have been in my prayers in this difficult and frightening day.
You will continue to be in my prayers in the weeks ahead as I know that
there are many difficult ones to come. I have found that some of the
simplest of truths have been the most profound and comforting. I find
myself singing "Jesus Loves Me" over and over again--so much theological
depth in such a simple children's song: "Jesus loves me this I know for
the BIBLE tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but He
is strong." I pray that when you are at your weakest, He will show
Himself all the stronger. He loves you. He loves Ben. He loves Eli. He
will be (and is even now--by His grace and your faithfulness) glorified!

Hey guys,
we had a good rehearsal tonight for the Easter program. Word came to us
about Ben's condition following surgery and I know everyone involved in
the band, drama, dance and choir are praying for Ben and all of you.
Everywhere I went today seeing little ones and their families in Birth
to Three they were asking about how Ben is doing. So many people have
been touched by this. God will continue to receive glory from your
testimonies. Stay strong and get some rest. God will carry you through
this. Tom and I will continue to pray. We love you all.

think about is Ben and the courageous fight he is making, and the
unbelievable strength you guys, including Eli, you have. Truly, the hand
of God is on you, and as the 23rd Psalm says, He is praying a table for
you in the presence of your enemies, as you walk THROUGH this valley. I
didn't want to bother you with a cell phone call, because I know you
guys have a lot of things going on, but just know that the prayer lines
are all being used tonight. Deb and I are thinking about coming to
