I just
got my update. I since a long day. I hope this brings you comfort.
Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the Father
who is full of mercy and all comfort. He comforts us everytime we have
troubles, so when others have troubles, we can comfort them with the
same comfort God gives us. 2 Cor. 1:3-4 I am 1201 signing in today. Feel
our comfort, love, prayers and faith. He will watch and care for you.

Hi - Just
wanted you all to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. My
husband, Rob, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in January of
03. He is 33 years old and we have two children. Hollie is 6 and Gavin
is 4. It was a grade II oligoastrocytoma with mainly oligodendroglioma
components. I understand what it's like to have a family member
diagnosed with this disease. We go to Duke Universiry (Allen & Henry
Friedman are our doctors - no relation to each other.) They are
currently studying a treatment that involves mixing the polio virus and
the common cold and injecting it into the tumor bed of the patient. For
some reason, in lab tests, it is destroying the tumor but leaving
healthy cells alone. WOO HOO! Should be ready for human testing in 1 to
1 1/2 years. Ben will be a survivor. God Bless! "Be Anxious in nothing -

as I read 2Sam 22 my thoughts flooded both praising God and using so
many of these verses to hold up Ben. 28 verses just gripped me. When I
read about the battle - it was Ben's cancer. Again last night in Cover
to Cover this verse just fits with it so much. 2Chron. 14:11 And Asa
cried out to the Lord his God, and said, " Lord, it is nothing for You
to help, weather with many or with those who have no power, help us, O
Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this
multitude (cancer). O Lord, You are our God; do not let man (cancer)
prevail against You!" 12. So the Lord struck ... before Asa!... .. I'm
still praying, seeking, and believing

BIRTHDAY Jennifer. (Just so you know, I have a present for you when we
SEE each other). First of all let me say, I'm sorry that I have been out
of touch the last several days. Forgive? You have not been out of my
thoughts/mind/prayers though and I hope you know that with confidence!
Will keep Ben in prayers always and pray for Thursday's
invasive/painful/difficult procedure. I do miss you so much!!! Will try
and call you this am and hope to reach you. I got to see some of
Collin's birthday pictures the other day with Tom/Eli and was reminded
of that wonderful gesture. That was such a "giving" thing to do and I

lately...I'm sorry. Forgive? You have never been out of my
mind/thoughts/prayers though and I hope you know that. I'm just sorry
you haven't seen my support lately. I know that is what you need during
this time---demonstrations of support. Sorry. Will COVER BEN UP in
prayer on Thursday for his invasive/difficult/painful procedure and pray
for your ongoing strength during it as well. I saw some of my
mother-in-laws pictures from Collin's birthday party and was reminded of
Tom/Eli's gift of "being there". That was such a giving thing to
do...and during such a difficult time. Like I said, I will never forget
that gesture. I also know, Tom, that it was a diffuclt thing to do. I'll
call you this am and hope I reach you. I miss you like crazy!!! P.S. I
had some salt & vinegar chips yesterday and thought of you and Kris

Hi Ben!!
I've been cruising your web site catching up on the latest and one thing
is sure, you are a warrior. You seem to have a direct line to God and
his mercy. To go through everything you are going through and still have
a smile left to share is beyond comprehension. This world would be a
different place if everyone had your determination and grace. Keep the
