Dear Tom
and Jennifer, Just wanted to let you know I tapped into a whole new
prayer chain for your family. A priest who works at a missionary in
Haiti was a guest speaker at our church this weekend. He will enlist the
rest of the missionary folks down there in the "Bowen Family Prayer."
Every little bit helps. I'll keep up my daily prayers for Ben and your

Dear Mr.
& Mrs. Bowen--I have been deeply touched by your baby son Ben's story.
It is so tragic when anybody gets cancer, but especially so when it
strikes someone so sweet and innocent, before he has even had a chance
to enjoy his life. My husband and I are faithful Christians, and Ben and
all of you are--and will continue to be--in our prayers. We admire you
greatly for being so strong and steadfast in your faith. Many would have
faltered under less than you've endured. We are asking God to bless your
little son, and all of you, and to please remove little Ben's cancer
completely, and forever, and allow him to finally have the healthy,
normal life he deserves. May he be cured VERY SOON, and--since he is
young--may he have no memory of any of the treatments he has had to
endure. Please, God, I ask this for Ben because I know you can do this,
for yours is the power and the Glory...Amen. I Believe--Elena Staggers &

countinues to stay tough and smiling no matter what. I have been whiny
all day over a sore throat then I read about Ben and I realize how lucky
I am just to have a sore throat. Ben's story sure does make you look at
things in a new light. Things that once seemed so awful to me are really
nothing more than just an obstacle to go around. Since having my
children I never go to bed without thanking God for blessing me with
them. But, before Ben's story I think those words became more of habit
than anything else. Now when I thank God for them I really feel it deep
within me just how truly blessed I am to be their mother. I used to
think Olivia's asthma was the worst thing in the world and although I
still hate that she has to deal with the meds and the flare ups I
realize that the asthma is just one of those obstacles that we CAN get
around. Thank you for sharing your story and for the updates. It really
does make me see life in a whole new way. I am continuing daily prayer

You all
are being lifted frequently in our household in prayer. We participate
in the Relay 4 Life every year to raise $ for the American Cancer
Society. There will be a luminary lit in HONOR of Big Ben this year. It
is customary for the relay to begin with a survivors lap in which all
cancer survivors are awarded a medallion. It will be so awesome to see
Ben running in this lap next year (you will have to chase him Tom, you
were the big track star at East)I'll make sure there is some o2 on
standby only if you share because I will be chasing Gabriel (I DO

I just
wanted to take a minute to let you know that your family is an
inspiration to Christians worldwide. I check the site often for updates
on Ben and current prayer requests. Ben's personality is so evident
through the pictures that are posted...he is a ray of sunshine and I'm
sure a joy to all he comes in contact with. Tom and Jennifer, your faith
is so inspiring and a blessing as I read your letters and view pictures
and video. You are an amazing couple. Your faith is strong at a time
when most would flee from God...it is usually hard to remain faithful
when you are in the midst of a trial. God is blessing you each day for
that faithfulness. Ben is a warrior, but so are his parents and brother.
May God continue to bless you and cover you with His grace as you
