Hey guys!
As Alex says we are checking on Ben. I am sure the people around you are
giving you good foods advice. Everyone is different. I cant blame him I
wouldnt want to eat metal either. YUCK.. You will find something that
will click for him. I know how resourceful Jennifer can be. I signed and

Ben
continues to be so stronge and couragous. That says a lot about his
family as a whole. After working with so many picky eaters in early
intervention I am sure Jennifer will come up with a "trick" to get Ben
to eat. Until then I will pray for his nourishment as well as complete
healing, comfort, and strength. His high spirits amaze me. All of your
strength and high spirits amaze me. Makes me say to myself "get over it"
when I feel like I am having a tough day.

Tom and
Jennifer: I do not know you personally, but attend Fellowship Baptist
Church in Barboursville, WV and know that you, Tom, were the driving
force during the 9/11 rescue operations and included our church in those
efforts. My husband and I were blessed, after 13 years of marriage, with
a wonderful, healthy son. We are so aware of how events can turn in a
moment. Adam is now 17 years old and a honor student in the Junior class
at Grace Christian School. We're praying that we can be hearing about
Ben's recovery and other stories about him when he is 17 years old in
order to show the world that God is in control. We also pray for
strength for you and Jennifer. Through our 29 years of marriage we know
how hard it can be for a loving couple to go through so many trials. May
God richly bless you, Jennifer, Ben and Eli and show his goodnessand
mercy to you in a mighty way.

Bowens, I fully agree with Allison Sheils about having nothing else
"original" to say. I just want you to know that you guys are constantly
on my prayer list. I imagine that you have been told at least a thousand
times, "Let us know if you need something". I know for sure that you

Ben's
story brought me to tears! I can't begin to understand the pain your
family must be feeling now. God is holding you each in the palm of His
loving hand. I have a 17 month old daughter and can't even imagine how
hard this all must be. I was sent Ben's story b/c I know the Totty
family. Although you don't know me, my husband and I will be praying for
Ben daily.

Eli, and Ben, Though you have not "heard" much from me I just want you
to know my heart,prayers, and spirit are deeply connected to you In
Jesus at this time. God is certainly teaching me much about the body of
Christ right now... through your family especially. Last night I was in
a mix of dream, prayer and awake mode. It must have been very, very
early in the morning though I don't know the time. Don't remember the
details of the dream but I would see your family and my Spirit was
praying though I was still half asleep. I kept hearing the word
"insurance". Of course from a Human standpoint I was thinking... o.k.
does that mean I'm supposed to pray something about their medical
insurance. Although I did pray Gods constant provision in that area.. he
gave me a deeper translation of why I kept hearing "insurance" as He
literally has been after me all day to look up the word in the
dictionary for its true meaning. May the Lord reveal the spiritual

really moved by Ben's story. Being a parent myself, I can only imagine
what you all may be going through. I sat at my computer, crying, unable
to stop reading. Ben & your family have helped me to find a new calling
in life. I have to do something to help families like your own. I have
never felt so strongly about something. All of you will be in my prayers
from now on. Thank you for telling your story to the world. I thought
you may like to know, this site was sent to me by my sister, Jennifer

Having
fun with family and friends is part of being alive. You all are very
much alive. Not living like you normally did. But alive. Trials in life
is what makes us see and makes us better people. Alot of people see each
day differently because of your families’ trials. We all have our good
days and bad. When a child is ill is makes everything a 100 times
magnified. I am glad you are taking the time to get away from the
hospital routine and enjoy being with your kids in an as much normal
ways that you can. These families you have met can support you in ways
that some of us could never understand. Because they live it. Just like
you. Lean on your family and friends we will keep you strong and
together with the guide of God we will fight until the end. There are
day that a prayer doesn’t seem to be enough. But there is a plan for us
all. I just pray that it is a stepping stone in your families’ lives and
not anything other then that. Tom you sum it up best with one word

Morning Bowens, God is so good! Hope you have a great time on your
outting today. Ben's picture in the hat is adorable. Sure would like to
kiss those little cheeks. Give him a big hug from all his friends in
Huntington for us today. We will be lifting up extra prayers starting
tomorrow and through the weekend that Bens inpatient care will go
