Christmas
in April was such a success! Thank you so much to those who came and
visited the Discovery Toy area! The sales are already close to $600!
Special thanks to those who purchased off the wish list for Ben and Eli!

When
things happen that we don't understand it is easy for people to say
"they know how you feel" when you know there is no possible way they can
know. Well I do know how you feel. I was at St Jude 10 years ago with my
16 year old daughter. She will go back to St Jude this year for
hopefully her final visit. If it hadn't been for the doctors at St Jude
and many many prayers, I really wonder what would have happened. I just
want to let you know that your son could not be in better hands. I
understand the roller coaster ride you are now riding and it will stop
one day. As I sat at the hospital day after day and watched all the
children that came through the door I was always amazed at the strength
the children had. Ben is one of those kids. There are days you will
question if you can even get through the day, you will. There will be
days that you will laugh and play with Ben and know that you will
definately make it through this day. I don't think I ever experienced as
many emotions as I did during that year of treatment. I th

Hi, my
name is Tammy and I have worked with Susan at SMMC ER for 8 years. I
know your family through tons of pictures and scrapbooks. When I heard
about Ben's diagnosis my heart was broken and I went to the only One I
knew could help, GOD!!! I prayed for you often over the next couple of
days but was not sure what else I could do. A couple of days later I
called Sarah Rawlings to make a picture appt. and she told me about the
donation of the sitting fees to you, finally something I could do to
maybe help out. In the meantime I had been searching for a church to
attend when my brother told me about RCCC. The first morning we attended
was the morning that Tom spoke, I was speechless. Was this the Lord
giving me a sign? Well of course it was. Not only about the church but
to let as many people as I could know about Bens' story and the fund
raising efforts. I truely believe that God is going to take care of you
in everyway and that it is our responsibilty as friends and church to
take care of you financially and hold you up in prayer. E

My family
would like to send our prayers and thoughts to your family in your time
of need. Ten years ago I gave birth to a healthy baby girl but in the
process of giving birth I went into respiratory and cardiac arrest. God
gave me a second chance at life and there were thousands of people
praying for me and my family and through the grace of God and the power
of prayer myself and my daughter are doing great. May God bless each one
of you and the power of prayer uplift your family also.

take care of your son. I almost lost my son at 6 years old due to
seizures and believe me prayer works, he is a healthy 12 year old!

Community Church. Christine Emerson gave us the update the weekend Mike
Emerson came out to be with you all. Since I have known you Tom since

how long has it been? When I heard about Ben's story, I thought of when
we were at Marshall and how you, Laura, and Kris used to dote on Brayden
when I would bring him with me. I knew that one day you would make an

Thinking
about you so often. I think about you so often, and about the strength
and faith you show all of us back home. Jessica is almost 15, and has
never been sick other than a cold. I can't imagine what I would do if
she were seriously ill... How I would cope - or if I could show the same
strength and faith you two do. I know that when things like this happen,
God give's us a strength we don't normally have.. and that He promises
that He will never give us anything to face ... that He won't help us
get through.. He said "I will never leave you , or forsake you" thank

My son is
17 and has been doing atrt since the fall of 98. He did not have chemo
but is still recovering from head and spine radiation. Sometimes parents
of atrt children have found it helpful to talk to me as I have a
different perspective since my son is older. You certainly seem to be
doing a very good job taking care of your family. God is able.

family put Ben on our prayer list(First Baptist Church-South Point). I
also help with my churchs youth group. I am going to see if we can

Dear Ones
- I have been thru some 'stuff' with my 'babies' too, three wonderful
daughters & a stepson - serious car wrecks (10 all told!!), minor
sicknesses, dislocated joints & broken bones - but all this seems minor
compared with what you've been thru. I now have six lovely grandkids, so
the next chapter is upon me, & I welcome it gratefully. Even tho' my
life was a bit less 'complicated' than yours is, I sometimes wondered if
I could face the next day. Well, ""I DID"", & life has blessed me with a
pleasant 'newly married' middle age that brings wonderful new
experiences everyday. You guys 'Hang In There' - trust the Lord & His
wisdom, as I'm confident you will. You are in our thoughts & prayers.

I woke
this morning like every other morning and turned on the news, that is
when I heard the story of Ben. It broke my heart to here of this little
fellow, that was going through so much. I am so very sorry to see this
happening to Ben and you his family. There is really nothing I can say,
but there is something that I can do. I can pray for Ben and his family.

your lastest update and will pray, believing that Ben's counts will rise

hey guys
just thought i'd check up on you. We had a great time at Ichthus this
weekend. It was a muddy mess but a great time. Third Day was there and
they were awesome. I encourage you while your in the home to play some
praise and worship music, to surround yourselves with it. Third Day has
2 great worship albums. Also there is a guy named Chris Tomlin who we do
alot of his songs at church. One of Third Days songs goes like this,
"Don't you know i'd always love you, even before there was time, Don't
you know i'd always loved you, and I ALWAYS WILL." God blees you. We are
